Hey guys. Or no one..

I think it’s high time I give this website an update! So I’ll be working on it a bit and possibly giving things a fresh coat of paint. As for me life has been overall good! As usual I’ve been pulled in all different directions and committed to absolutely none of them!

A few updates:

• I’ve worked on several projects, but have not made any of my own videos in the last few years. I hope to change this very soon!
• I now work as a manager at a company that provides care for adults with disabilities
• I’ve started working on a game with one of my all time greatest friends Joe
• I am currently working on a website for my wonderful uncle Morgan, who passed away in 2020. He was an extremely skilled, talented and prolific artist and a caring and supportive art teacher who made a big impact on so many of his student’s lives
• I have been making Fortnite maps for a while.. a hobby I’ve really been enjoying.
• I made a board game with my lovely girlfriend. Although it kind of got stuck in the prototype phase.. I do hope to pick this up again someday.

and one final, kinda shitty update:

• My original mabdog channel on Youtube was taken down for “harassment”. I really can’t pinpoint where the harassment might have been but Youtube support couldn’t do anything to clarify or help me so unfortunately that was that. This situation has gotten me to take preservation a lot more seriously as things uploaded to other people’s websites can be taken down at a moment’s notice for a variety of reasons. Luckily I did have the foresight to download and store these videos before the channel was taken down, so I will find another way to bring them back online. I can’t be stopped! lol. But it does still make me sad that all the comments, the descriptions, dates and times of posting.. all the little things are gone forever. This is a channel I uploaded videos to since 7th grade and continually posted randomly for 15+ years. Watching the videos in order you can see my evolution of learning video editing on windows movie maker, learning special effects, 3d stuff.. all of it was on there. Along with a whole lot of cringe. I wouldn’t recommend anyone watch this channel from start to finish actually! But it was so important to me still.

This is one of the greatest online resources you can find. It is a community where users can freely upload and download audio clips and even music.

Whether you’re a musician, video editor, or game designer you will definitely be able to get something out of this website. I’ve been using it for years, and I can’t even explain to you how helpful it has been. Here’s a video I did sound effects for, and all the audio is straight off of freesound:

knowledge is more readily available than it’s ever been in the past.

Over the years I’ve lost countless hours soaking up knowledge from the internet. I completely blew off 4 years of high school education to learn the skills I use today. This is one of the many reasons I decided to avoid a more traditional scholastic experience. I knew how powerful that fuckin internet was.. and over the years, learning things, for free with the internet only improves as thousands of new tutorials are published every hour.

I’ve always thought it would be cool if there was some sort of free online curriculum that acted as a directory or map to sites and videos that already exist on the internet, but organized in a way that can be utilized as a complete course in the subject.

And that’s gonna be a lot of work. But, I’ll continue adding to it as time goes on. Right now it’s more of a small index. I will continue adding entries to these indexes, but eventually I will work on the curriculum’s. (is there really supposed to be an apostrophe there? Auto correct says so) For now, because I have to create all these pages manually I’m only going to be including tutorials on things I’m interested in or learning.

I don’t own any of this learning material, it’s all free and already available if you can find it. I’m just trying to make it easier to find
